Tuition at New Haylie Fishing Loch by John Milne SGAIC
We are very pleased to have John Milne as our resident Professional Fly-fishing Instructor. John is one of Scotland’s busiest and best instructors since he started teaching in 1999. He is an Accredited, Licensed, Insured and Fully Qualified holder of the prestigious Scottish Game Angling Instructors Certificate (SGAIC)
He is also a fully trained First Aider and has Full Disclosure Scotland which allows him to work safely and appropriately with young people.
John’s relaxed style of teaching gets the very best out of each client making the experience both worthwhile and memorable.
He writes regular angling articles for local newspapers and is a respected contributor to the very popular Total Flyfisher Magazine.
He will improve your casting in every way whether you are a complete beginner looking to get started or an experienced angler looking to hone your skills.

Basic Overhead Cast Shooting Line
Roll Cast Single Haul
Double Haul
John offers two hour lessons on a one-to-one basis, small groups and he is available for corporate days.
Guided fishing can be arranged at New Haylie Fishing Loch to teach:
Dry Fly Wet Fly
Nymphs Lures
As a full time instructor and guide John is available seven days a week including evenings to fit in with your available free time.
Complete novices, ladies and children are most welcome.All tackle and safety equipment is provided and included in the cost.
Costs- Permit charged to be added
Adult - £20 per hour minimum of 2 hours Child under 17yrs - £15 per hour minimum of 2 hours
Adult and child – £25 per hour minimum of 2 hours Full and half days can be arranged.
